We can’t always see where the road leads
but God promises there’s something better up ahead we just have to trust Him.
GROWING & FOSTERING OUR JEWISH WORLD
Temple Emanuel has been serving the Jewish community of Gaston, Lincoln, Cleveland, York, and Mecklenburg counties for over 100 years. Founded as the Hebrew Congregation of Gastonia 1913, our synagogue was built in 1929. We are a vibrant and diverse congregation, meeting the spiritual and educational needs of Jews and their families – and those interested in Judaism.
Temple Emanuel is a reform synagogue that offers a warm, friendly environment to study the tenets of Judaism and explore Jewish heritage. We serve the community as a Beyt T’fillah (House of Worship), holding Shabbat services weekly and observing holidays, festivals, and life cycle events. As a Beyt Midrash (House of Study), enrichment is provided through Religious School, Adult Study, and community interfaith programs. Temple Emanuel is a Beyt Knesset (Gathering Place), for celebrations, fellowship, and social outreach. Discover Gastonia’s Temple Emanuel. We welcome all Jews as well as non-Jewish spouses and friends to join in our services, programs, and activities.
